Information for the Media

Accreditation   

Media representatives who have​ applied for accreditation to the plenary meetings of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be able to receive their accreditation cards at the event venue.

Accreditation cards can be received upon presenting an Identification Document (passport, ID card or driver’s licence) together with media accreditation confirmation document.
 
Separate Accreditation will be required for each meeting.

Accreditation cards are to be issued by the Media Accreditation Office of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2017 and collected from respective Conference venues.
Accreditation cards are to be issued following approval of online registration through the following link https://www.eu2017.mt/en/Pages/Accreditation.aspx 

Wearing the media accreditation card
At the event venue, media representatives must wear their accreditation cards at all times and must be worn in a clearly visible place.

Internet access
During the event, media representatives will have free-of-charge access to wireless Internet.
 
TV interviews
For TV interviews, media representatives are invited to use the press area indicated by the Conference Secretariat. During the event, interviews may be recorded only outside the meeting hall.
 
Live broadcast
The website of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Maltese Presidency www.parl.eu2017.mt will broadcast live opening and thematic sessions. The programmes of the plenary meetings will be available in the respective pages of the meetings.
 
Rules for media representatives
Media representatives will have specially designated seats in the meeting hall and a press area at the meeting venue.
In the main hall and press area, all camera persons will have access to audio connectors for the floor channel.

Media representatives are to be appropriately dressed when accessing the event venue. Media representatives must follow the instructions of the organisers and security officers.
 
Use of photographs
Official photos from the event will be made available at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/144700674@N07/albums/
Photos intended for press releases, informative or educational materials are provided free of charge. When publishing the audiovisual material, it is mandatory to give credit to the copyright holder, i.e., the House of Representatives of Malta.

Technical assistance
Technical support officers will be available to provide technical support or information to media representatives throughout the event.
